Good Evening to you all again.
I hope, like me, you have all had a good day. I woke up this morning an hour later than normal, however surprisingly was ready on time to take Ava-Leigh to school. I cant say I was impressed with the heavens opening literally 30 seconds after I got out the door. Needless to say it was a rather wet walk to school this morning. I was told by my friend though as I got to school she had tried ringing me to see if we wanted a lift to school......... doh stupid me for not taking my phone off silent this morning.
Anyway we sat in her car until it was time to go into school and she was very kind to say that she would give me a lift to Slimming World too so I didn't have to get any more soaked than I already was. We sat an had a little natter and then it was time to go in and face the dreaded scales.
I started my Slimming World journey 8 weeks ago and it started out great, until I had a week off the scales which subsequently led to me having 2 weeks of gains :( I started slimming world to rid the last stone and a half of baby weight, in time for our wedding in May 2014. Luckily I have managed to pull it back and after undoing all my hard work I am seeing losses on the scales instead of gains. I am currently 3lbs off my half stone award and 12lbs away from initial target.
I must admit I am loving Slimming World and it has made me enjoy cooking as I really wasn't a domestic goddess with cooking. ( I suppose you cant have it all) I am making the right choices for what I put into my body and I can honestly tell a difference in my mood, motivation and energy levels. Yes the sugar, caffeine and chocolate give you a burst of energy but it doesn't last long at all in comparison to what I get out of making sure I eat plenty of vegetables, fruit, salad and meat. Now this isn't a blog to promote Slimming World as I know it isn't everybodys cup of tea but I certainly am feeling the benefits and have plenty of people at my group who have had a great journey so far and are definitely doing better for it.
So that was my morning already gone and I felt like I hadn't achieved much, so it was home and time for lunch, then a mad dash cleaning session as I had my friend and her little girl coming for tea and if you have seen my other blog about manic cleaning you will understand why I decided everywhere needed to be polished and hoovered and mopped and everything put exactly in its place.
The girls were collected from school and back to my flat it was, they have all played lovely together with their babies and pushchairs, funny isn't it how they mimic what they see us doing? I never realised how much notice Ava-Leigh took of me talking about Slimming World until I heard her explaining to her friend " I am allowed so many syns per day...... but I can eat all the chocolate cake that I want!!" Hmmmmm I'm not sure she has quite understood it properly but it did make me and my friend chuckle a little bit.
Well that's my day guys and now I'm going to sit with a glass of wine and relax.
Have a great evening whatever you are doing
Take Care
Nat xx
